Starting with a single brick of aluminum, the Macbook Pro is whittled down into its existing sleek form. By using a seamless enclosure - the unibody - it drastically reduces the chances of operational failure while increasing its overall durability. This manufacturing process requires incredible precision, but also allows for more efficient placement of components, which makes the profile much slimmer.
Also improved upon is the 13” LED-backlit display. LED-backlit display technology requires much less energy to provide a bright, brilliant image and yields a slimmer profile depth. Plus, you don't have to wait for the screen to warm up. Simply press the power button and it's on. To complement the already-stunning display is the edge-to-edge glass enclosure, which provides a strong structural reinforcement to the LED display beneath it.
You'll find another stunning advancement in the trackpad and keyboard. The Multi-Touch trackpad has expanded and no longer has a button. That's because the trackpad is the button. Now you can drag, drop, flip, zoom, slide, highlight and click. The keys have been curved to perfectly fit your fingers, and they're backlit so you can always see what you're typing - even in low light. It's the most intuitive way to work.
What's inside is just as important as what's outside. The MacBook Pro houses an Intel Core 2 Duo processor for super-fast multitasking and amazing multimedia capabilities.
